Nicky Gaylor is the Marketing Director of Sylk UK which was founded by her parents back in the 1990’s following time spent living and working in New Zealand where they discovered this amazing product. They quickly established a reputation amongst health professionals and Sylk was the first NATURAL lubricant to gain prescription status in 1997 at the recommendation of many leading medical establishments. Taking over the company from her parents in 2007 and now on the verge of being peri–menopausal with a daughter who is pre-pubescent, Nicky has a real understanding of the health issues that women face as they age and a huge interest in driving awareness of the menopause and the products that can really help make a difference.

In this episode we talk about sex, female sexual empowerment and aging!!

May is National Masturbation Month (WHO KNEW!!) and Sylk are currently running a campaign to remove the stigma that still exists around female self pleasure and encouraging women to prioritise their sexual needs. Go and check them out: https://sylk.co.uk/

Dr. Stacy T. Sims, is a Senior Research Scientist at the University of Waikato.
She is an applied researcher, innovator and entrepreneur in human performance, specifically sex differences in training, nutrition, and environmental conditions. One women's journey of menopause and vaginal atrophy. Jane wrote a book in collaboration with her daughter in a 'tongue in cheek' way to help break taboos of vaginal atrophy. It is informative, serious, tear-jerking and guaranteed to make you laugh. During the podcast Jane and I speak about her own experiences with vaginal atrophy and the terrible time women through menopause go through in secret and shame, and the treatment options available to them. This is a very important conversation that we must have!

This is an episode where this northern lass meets a southern belle, the accents run wild! An industry veteran, who was one of my first inspirations is Elizabeth Smith Andrews. She inspired me to become certified in TRX, DVRT Ultimate Sandbag and to explore functional movement as a way to exercise. I’m happy that she is now one of my BFF’s and we have the best conversations. This episode sees us shooting the shit, talking about the lessons she has learned during her time in the industry and generally putting the world to rights! PS explicit!!!!

If you are enjoying this podcast, I would be really grateful if you would leave me a review.
